[ILHam] Free Amateur Radio Exams on A Weeknight

We're have free Amateur Radio exams on Thursday, August 9th, at
Ryves Youth Center in Terre Haute, IN.
The official starting time is 7:00 PM but you need to show up early.
Walk-ins are allowed up until that time but we would appreciate it if you
would let us know you're coming.  You can email wd9eyb0611 at indianakits.com

Ryves Youth Center is located at 14th and Locust St. The main entrance is on
the west side of 14th St. There is a parking lot on the east side of 14th
street.

There are some wooden steps that go up to the gym but you want to take the
door adjacent to the steps and go down to the cafeteria.
Cross the cafeteria diagonally to the door that leads back to the
hallway that goes to the back classroom where the exams are held.  If you
get lost just ask anyone for directions and they can probably help you.

Our VEC is the Laurel Amateur Radio club so there's no charge to take the
exam. Our club is the Eastside Outdoor Ham Club.

Ryves Youth Center is a great place for kids 3 to 18.  We have several kids
studying to get their Amateur Radio License.  If you think you might like to
help out at Ryves you can talk to Jim Edwards, KA9DIF, about that.
He will most likely be at the exam session as a VE.

Snacks for the exam session will be provided.  It will probably be
doughnuts, cookies, sweet rolls, or something.  Coffee and tea will
also be provided.  It's always good.
