[ILHam] Elmhurst-based York Radio Club meets April 16

MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT:

The Elmhurst-based York Radio Club will hold its monthly meeting on Friday, April 16, at 8 p.m. The gathering is free and open to all.

This month's program will feature a presentation by Kate Saccany, KC9IQF.  Kate will talk about amateur radio and its place in support of marathons, especially the Chicago Marathon. Her presentation will touch on the logistics of such events, the communications needed, and the problems that need to be solved.  

The meeting will be at the Community Bank of Elmhurst, 330 W. Butterfield Rd. (at Spring Road). The club offers testing for all amateur licenses before the meeting at 7 p.m. For more information, go to www.yorkradioclub.com.
