Dear Chicago-Area Hams:

Although Summer is over and the leaves are
changing colors, there are still opportunities for
hams to help with Public Service Events!  And you
don't even have to wait for delayed
gratification--your help is needed at an event
coming up THIS SUNDAY in Marengo.  See below for
details.

These events are great opportunities for us: we
get the chance to test our equipment and
communications skills, while displaying amateur
radio to the public in the best possible light.
Also, a local agency/organization gets the benefit
of our unique communications services, which they
could not easily duplicate with cellular phones or
business-band radios.  Thus, everybody wins.

If you are available THIS SUNDAY (October 12),
won't you please lend a hand?
