Dear Cook County ARES Members and Friends:

A reminder that this Monday night the Chicago Red Cross
Disaster Services Technology Team (DST; formerly RTT) will
be holding an informal information and recruiting session.
This is a great opportunity for hams and others with a
technology background to learn about the Red Cross and DST
and to join a dedicated, hard-working group of volunteers in
service to others.

Volunteers from any area are welcome. This event is not
limited to Cook County residents.

This informal session will be held at the ARC Arlington
Heights office (544 W Northwest Highway), and will start
around 7:00.  The program includes:

     - A tour of the Emergency Communications
       Response Vehicle (ECRV)

     - An overview of the Red Cross and DST

     - A slide show of DST in action in the Red
       Cross response to the tornado that struck
       Greensburg, Kansas

     - Q&A

     - A chance to enroll on the spot to volunteer
       at both the Chapter and regional/national
       level
