Gregg Rosenberg AB9MZ, the ARES® Assistant
Emergency Coordinator for Tinley Park, has asked
me to let you know about an amateur radio
Technician license class beginning in September.
The class is hosted by Tinley Park EMA and is
cosponsored by several south-suburban radio clubs.
I've condensed Gregg's announcement below, but

This class would be a great opportunity to bring
your friends, family, and co-workers into amateur
radio.  If you know anyone who might be interested,

Tinley Park Emergency Management Agency will host
an Amateur Radio Technician class license Exam
Preparation Course on Thursdays starting September
11th, 2008 from 7:00 to 9:30 PM. There will be six
classroom sessions and a final review session. The
cost is $35 per student for course materials. The
Hamfesters Radio Club, the Suburban Technical
Amateur Radio System (STARS), and the Tri-Town
Radio Club are all cosponsoring this class.
