Dear Cook County ARES Members and Friends:
An Advanced Severe Weather Spotter course will be
held on Saturday, 3 March 2007, in Wheaton. This
course is conducted jointly by DuPage County OEM,
the National Weather Service, and the College of
DuPage Weather Office. In the past, the course
has run from 0800 to about 1600, with a lunch
break and two refreshment breaks.
A registration fee is required and covers course
materials, refreshments, and lunch (highly rated).
The fee is $25 for those whose mailed registration
forms are postmarked before 23 February.
Thereafter, the fee is $35.
I have uploaded a copy of the registration form
(but not the brochure) to filesend.net for the
convenience of those who have not received one
from DuPage County OEM:
<http://www.filesend.net/download.php?f=08d84afb110e36c96a76df23bf27abcc>
If you'd like the entire brochure, please request
one from DuPage County OEM (see below). Although
the registration form that I uploaded mentions 16
February as the early registration deadline, that
is probably an error, as that form came from a
brochure distributed early. Brochures mailed
later by DuPage County OEM indicate 23 February as
the date before which registration forms must be
postmarked to qualify for the early registration
discount.
This information is believed to be accurate, but
is not guaranteed to be. I have no connection
with the folks sponsoring this training. For a
copy of the brochure or other authoritative
information, contact DuPage County OEM at
630 682 7925 or <oem at dupageco.org>.
