[ILHam] State Law / Chicago City Ordinance Regarding Amateur Radio? Any Experts?

Dave asked if I retained my eqpt. 

Yes, but they were VERY hesitant about it. I did speak to their
Sergeant who called me at home this evening. I can't say much more at this
juncture other than he was professional, polite, understanding, yet kinda
defended his crew. He gave some explanation for the stop, but it
sounded kinda convenient if ya know what I mean. 
We'll see what OPS uncovers. 

It's funny how officers want answers to their question but then tell you to 
"shut the F up and keep your hands on the car". Guess they knew I was right, and they were in deep 
doo doo.
