Dear Cook County ARES Members and Friends:

The SARA 2-meter repeater is currently out of
service, so we will conduct the Monthly Cook
County ARES Net tonight, Wednesday, 28 June, 2006,
on the following frequencies:

  146.88 MHz SIMPLEX; and

the SARA 70 cm repeater (444.375 MHz, +5.0 MHz
  offset, 114.8 Hz PL).

The net control station will be located in the
northwest suburbs. We will need relay help from
stations with good antenna setups on 2 meters.
For those planning to participate on 70 cm, please
note that the coverage of the SARA 70 cm repeater
is not as wide as the 2 meter machine, so you may
need more power or a directional antenna to reach
the repeater if you are far from its location on
the north side of Chicago.

If you are unable to check in via radio, you may
also "check in" by sending a brief e-mail to
N9NL at ARRL.NET. Please indicate what stations you
were able to hear.
