Dear Cook County ARES Members and Friends:
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Cook County ARES will be assisting Maine Township
EMA this Sunday, October 2, in supporting the 27th
Annual Ron Santo Walk to Cure Diabetes. This
annual fundraising walk benefits the Juvenile
Diabetes Research Foundation. This is a great
opportunity to put your amateur radio
communications skills to work while helping JDRF
find cures, save lives and improve the well being
of millions of Americans.
People of all levels of amateur radio public
service experience are welcome. This is a
wonderful opportunity to meet new hams and other
public service volunteers, and to work closely
with the Maine Township EMA, an extremely
well-respected emergency management group. Note:
we're looking for a couple of people to operate
"bike mobile" in this event.
If you have time this Sunday, please consider
helping us out. This event takes place at Busse
Woods near Rolling Meadows. I will get additional
information to those who let me know they'd like
to help. Please e-mail or phone (847 477 7104)
ASAP.
Thanks and 73,
