Highland Park's North Shore Radio Club will again link its repeaters on
January 12 for the 8:00 p.m. net. Check in on the two meter repeater (147.345 MHz,
+600 Hz., PL 107.2 Hz.) or the 440 repeater (442.075 +5MHz., PL 100.0 Hz.).
It's suggested that the operator pause for about a second after keying the
microphone to allow the linkage to pick up the request to transmit, especially on
the 440 band.

In addition to local traffic, and John Wass with the local hamfest and ARRL
news, the NSRC net includes the RAIN report and AR Newsline. The RAIN report
this week features "Lou McCoy - A True Radio Pioneer"  Part Two. Amateur Radio
Newsline features stories about Ham radio continuing its relief efforts for
victims of the Indian Ocean earthquake and Tsunami and friends of a missing ham
radio couple take to cyberspace to try to find them.

All licensed amateurs are welcome to check in.  Check-ins tonight are taken
by net control Mark, WA9IVH, at the beginning of the net, between RAIN and
Newsline, and after Newsline.

73,
Marilyn Tschannen Gardner, W9LUO
