Net control for the Thursday evening net of the North Shore Radio Club on
linked repeaters will be Mark, WA9IVH. Check in on the two meter repeater
(147.345 MHz, +600 Hz., PL 107.2 Hz.) or the 440 repeater (442.075 +5MHz., PL 100.0
Hz.). It's suggested that the operator pause for about a second after keying
the microphone to allow the linkage to pick up the request to transmit,
especially on the 440 band.

In addition to local traffic, and John Wass with the local hamfest and ARRL
news, the NSRC net includes the RAIN report and AR Newsline. The RAIN report
this week features part one of KC9RP, Hap Holly's interview with Fred Terman,
the Father of Silicon Valley, the man who put Stanford University on the
engineering map, and a ham who made his mark with his World War II radar counter
measures research.

Amateur Radio Newsline includes reports on ham help during and after
Hurricane Frances; BPL results in Perth, Australia; and other things of interest to
all.

All check-ins are welcome Thursdays at 8:00 p.m. Check-ins are taken by net
control at the beginning of the net, between RAIN and Newsline, and after
Newsline.
