Time to take your trusty portable AM BCB radio for a walk around the
neighborhood. If it's a craptastic transformer making noise, good luck on
getting ComEd to do anything about it. (There is a lovely piece of my
family's history involving a noisy pole pig, a CBer relative, and a few
rounds of metal jacketed ammunition.)

It may also be some neighbor's home entertainment equipment or appliance
gone spastic. Either way, it's going to take some detective work and/or
diplomacy to solve.
