Hi Folks!=20
I'm trying to track this recurring noise across the bands that I've been
experiencing lately=2E=20

Here's what it is:

It is present from 160m thru 10m as far as i can tell=2E It is a very stro=
ng
repeating signal(broad click-like signal)that repeats itself every =2E75
seconds(close guess-timation)=2E It ranges from 2S units to 4S units above=

the background noise and does not change pitch as I tune around the bands=2E=

If I didn't know better, it sounds earily similar to the BPL noise from th=
e
ARRL web site=2E As far as I know, however, there are no such tests being
conducted in the Chicago area=2E I haven't much experience with such noise=

phenomenon before this, so I really don't have a clue=2E It is so strong a=
s
to render my equipment unusable=2E

Here's what i did:

I turned off the power mains into my house and still observed the noise on=

both of my battery-powered QRP rigs, the K1 & KX1=2E I believe that was
sufficient to eliminate anything in my home as the culprit=2E=20

Is anyone experiencing this noise besides me? I am in Lagrange, IL about a=

half hour from the Chicago Loop=2E Does anyone know how I can track down s=
uch
a noise problem? I don't really know where to start=2E=20

Thanks for any help you can offer!
