Hi Ed,
The SEND relay is RL4001, a reed relay mounted on the bottom corner of the
RF Unit board. To access the RF Unit, the Digi-Sel Units and a shield
plate must be removed. You will need to remove the RF Unit to replace the
relay.
The IC-7610 has two menu-selectable amplifier keying options on the SEND
RCA jack; RELAY (rated at 16V/500mA non-inductive) and MOSFET (rated at
250V 200mA non-inductive). Refer to IC-7610 user manual, p. 2-3. If the
amplifier keying line exceeds these limits, an auxiliary keying buffer is
required.
You will need the service manual to perform this repair. If your 7610 is
still under warranty, an authorised Icom service centre will take care of
it.

Subject: [ICOM] 7610 relay
Has anyone replaced or repaired the internal amp keying relay in a 7610?
Is it easily accessible or do you have to remove boards because it is
buried somewhere?
