This is a seldom-used vehicle. I might not use it in 10-20 days at times. I once had this truck battery go very low after extended non-use, maybe a month, and never did determine why. Radio was constantly connected then. Batteries will self-discharge, so maybe that did it then.

I am worried about killing my truck battery if I connect 7000 directly to battery and then not use the truck in a while.ICOM (and GOOGLE) only tells me how much it draws when ON but squelched idle.Anybody know? I tried to measure but my cheap meter made the 7000 clickety-click with no constant reading.Jerry W4UK----Your Moderator: Dick Flanagan K7VC: icom-owner at mailman.qth.netIcom Users Net: Sundays, 1700Z, 14.316 MHzIcom FAQ: http://www.qsl.net/icom/To support QSL/QTH.net: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
