[ICOM] Dual Receive on Icom 7300

I'll be darned if I can figure out why Icom does not provide the ability for a separate receive antenna on newer gear as they did on the IC-735! Verticals work quite well for 160, 80, and 40 meter DX work, but they pick up lots of noise on receive. Low and long wires work fairly well for reducing receive noise on those bands and amplified magnetic loops are superb for low noise reception there.

DX Engineering does make an external device to hook a separate receive antenna to the regular coax connector but removes that antenna when your rig is put into transmit mode.

The little RCA jumper to enable an easy option for use of a separate receive antenna should be a really simple and cheap addition.

I wonder if anybody has or could come up with a simple mod to add this capability in current transceivers.

I have a 751A and I know it has that RCA loop installed.
