Hi John,
For my two cents, probably the best bang for your buck out there. I went from a 756 Pro II (no Inrad filter), to a used 756 ProIII w/Inrad installed by an Icom Service Center. It made a big difference, steeper filter response, could work very close in to loud stations and copy the weak ones.
I operated from VE3 and my host had an original 756Pro but had added the Inrad filter. Even that radio became much more usable in a contest.
I now use a 7800 and still have the ProIII w/Inrad filter in service. I have a K3 but mostly use that for dxpeditions.

Subject: [ICOM] INRAD roofing filter for 756PRO
Has anyone added an INRAD roofing filter to their 756PRO series radio?
Does it really make a dramatic improvement in performance? Did it seem
worth the money?
