[ICOM] HT on airline question

I've flown Delta over the past 2 to 3 years with my HT and QRP equipment
without issue. My typewriter usually gets all the attention, especially if
the security area is quite empty (as in few in line). Many of the agents
like to give it a try.
Most notebook PCs have lithium batteries also.
As with all spare batteries, have them secure so nothing can short the
teminals. I generally save terminal protectors and such from new batteries
so I can use them on the spares when I travel. Otherwise, one battery per
heavy clear plastic bag, sealed. Each in a different pocket of my carry-on.
