[ICOM] IC-765 Display

For the past few months, I've had my IC-765 running 24x7 on either 40M or
20M JT-65, 7.076 or 14.076, respectively.  When I'm not there and
transmitting, it monitors the signals and reports them to PSKReporter.

When I recently moved off frequency to work some RTTY, I noticed the unused
portions of the 7-segment displays were much dimmer (or the "used" portions
of the 7-segment displays during JT-65 operations were now brighter).

There's no dimmer control on the IC-765 display to my knowledge.  

Has anyone experienced this BURN-IN, BURN-OUT malady?  Is there a known
solution, short of finding a display somewhere in Icom's warehouse?
