Hi all
Not sure if this is an active list or not.
but just incase it is
I have an ancient IC211E which I plan to use as an IF for microwave use.
I have noticed a problem on receive and that is on SSB around 144.83 MHz there is a horrible
burbling noise . It doesn't seem to be the PLL going out of lock as the received signal a beacon
is T9 and stable. And its still there with the antenna feed disconnected, so it definitely
internally generated.
Any known common faults that may be applicable , before I dive in , as I'm aware that if its in the
PLL its like opening Pandoras Box
Thanks
