[ICOM] 765 Power Delay update

Marc, thank you for the information , is there a source for the IC-1 or was it just a part Eric had in stock ?

Thanks to all the contributors who helped to solve this minor annoyance. It
is now working as advertised thanks to Gary, who pointed me in the
direction of the Photo Interrupter IC-1, and Eric, who supplied me with the
part. In the process of troubleshooting, I chose to change all the
electrolytics, and while not solving the problem, it did bring the power
supply up to date with some new parts.  The rig seemed to show signs of
improvement with the installation of the new electroytics, but there
remained and occasional pause after the rig had cooled down for a spell. So
the last part I installed was IC-1 and it instantly powered on from a cold
start.  The actual delay designed into the rig is for a delay of only a few
milliseconds.  It works like a champ now.

Hope this information will provide some help to others experiencing a
similar problem with their IC-765 or 761 or any Icom rig with similar power
supply design.
