[ICOM] IC02AT Question

Hi, Bry. 
 
Programming the IC-02AT and its kin is rather obtuse by today's standards. 
 
I suggest you see if you can download the appropriate user manual from Icom's site. 
 
Things are too complex to outline in a text! 
 
Memory 5 and 6 are used to set the lower and upper scan limits. 
 
Set frequency step rate starts on page 27.
 
Set duplex frequency separation starts on page 29. 
 
Memory writing starts on page 30. 
 
Offset frequency set for memory 1 is used for memories 1 - 6. 
 
Offset and tone can be set as desired for Memories 7-0. 
 
It's been at least 20 years since I programmed my IC-02AT and I remember that I could NOT use channels 5 and 6 for the frequencies I wanted as they basically needed to be reserved for lower and upper scan limit frequencies. 
 
As I said, it's a bit obtuse but it WAS Icom's first scanning h/t.
