Usually in this sort of instance especially when the unit will receive in
an overloaded state is that there is a short in the very front end typicaly
front end 1 fet 2 diode 3 cap electrolytics if cheap #1suspect depending on
the vintage mylar can short easily if max voltage(spike) is exceeded just a
thought .If you are OK to do analysis takes time the repair takes minutes
