Hi. Color screen 'might' be next. Remember the 756, 756PRO, II, and III?
I still have my 756PRO I bought in Tokyo when they were first released. Still more radio than I use.....
One thing I will never understand, is why the big 3 can make small radios with HF, VHF, and UHF while the big radios (with a lot of empty space) only go up to 6M. I love my 706g.....
I have a Yaesu 901DM in storage that has the optional transverter for 6, 2, and 432. Wouldn't an Icom external transverter for several bands be cool? It woulf use all the features of the radio. Even Drake had the rcv and xmit transverters back 'in the day'....

I DO understand the average JA ham lives in small spaces and hence the market is made for them. This is another reason there is so few 220 mHZ radios here in the USA since JAs don't have 220..

My random thought of the day... ha ha

I could get more excited if it was a color screen....
What I'm dreaming of is a mobile rig that uses an Android tablet for a
control head. Now that IMO would be cool. If you go touch screen you should
go all the way.
