It is a great idea.....
One thought.... After a long time, it was determined that the failure of the transmitter in my 756 PRO was caused by a voltage spike that came in through one of the ACC connectors.
Living near the 'lightning capitol of the USA', I always disconnect and ground my antennas. 2 yrs ago, the AC line took a nearby hit. It took out a ton of stuff in the house/shack, TV, Astron PS, both rotor controllers, etc.
Although the xmitter of the PRO was repaired, the ACC connectors remain NFG due to NOT being checked during repair......
