[ICOM] my PRO III shut down problem

Al, agree. Yes , voltage on rig appears adequate, the readout etc perfect,
all other functions work. The non PA circuits run on 5-8 volts, converted
from the 13.8 coming into the PRO. There is a separate Circuitry fuse inside
for ALL non PA IC circuits. They are fine, so supply is putting adequate
voltages, all THREE of them I tried .. That is one advantage I have on PS
checking . So, I am 99% sure the 13.6 is fine and therefore not going into
current limiting mode. So appears all problem is on the PA/Driver boards.
Either heat or bad component (driver) or a short across two traces.
Thanks Al.

If the power supply is going into current limit, the voltage will be less
than 12 v and oher things will be wrong, like the display will go out, etc.
If you have 12v when the problem happens, it must be in the radio (IMO).
