[ICOM] DTMF problem with IC-2710H

Thanks Mac - I tried just the plain PTT and numbers and nothing comes out on either 2 meters or 440MHz.  I've studied the owner's manual about manual DTMF and I can't find anything except setting up DTMF memories!  73 - George, N9EJS

I don't have my 2710 book with me and it's a LONG
time since I first set mine up, but as far as I know,
the DTMF tones are actually generated in the microphone.
You just use PTT and key the tones while the mic is
keyed. I don't think you use "FUNCTION" at all.

With all the cellphones that abound, I don't know if
any of the autopatches in the Oklahoma City area
are even still operational!
