Though Icom America had service information available to them, The
factory Icom, Inc never published a service manual for the IC-471 radio.
Have a look at Scott Malcom's home page he has some alignment
information there. maybe sending him an email will get you pointed in
the right direction.

Scott's email is mts at toledotel.com
OR also contact Kuni Okuma at http:// www.w7jv.com
Kuni's email is w7jv at aol.com
Both are extremely capable Icom techs. i worked with both for 10 years
while I was there and they KNOW the IC-471 very well.

I haven't been able to locate a service manual for this radio (anyone have a pointer to the service manual?) and while the user manual shows the various adjustment points for the meter, I don't want to just start tweaking pots without a reasonable idea of what I'm doing. Anyone know the recommended procedure for setting up the discriminator meter centering adjustment?
