[ICOM] Icom Windows Cloning software questions

My response is to your second question.   Not all USB serial
converters are created equally.   Some only feed the TXD, RXD, and
Ground pins.   They will not work.   You need one that supports all 9
pin compatibility on the RS232 side.   Use to be they were scarce, but
they're much more common now.   I have a couple that work flawlessly
with every radio I've tried it on with compatible software.   I
believe one came from R&L for their software.   I recently got one out
of HK on Ebay for a fraction of the price that works also.
