What makes anyone think it is crass and insensitive to voice concern about the amateur radio industry on a mailing list dedicated to amateur radio?

Just because we wish Icom, Yaesu, and Kenwood well does not mean we are not watching with concern about everything else that is going on. Although it is understandable that there be posts about the loss of life and property, such posts are off-topic for this group. I think it is very presumptive to assume that all any of us care about are radios just because we care about them, too.

Don't think for a minute I am complaing about posts involving donations and relief for the people of Japan--I certainly am not--but isn't it natural that we wonder how this terrible tragedy will affect us as hams?
