Larry,

Could you attach a simple picture of the nut and location?
This way some people may 'view' the situation and have some new ideas.  As
the saying goes, one picture is worth a thousand word.

That is the right type tool! It too is a little on the expensive side. The
big question, is it the right size? It is described for a High Density BNC
connector which has a possible smaller diameter.
Doing a search on the Amphenol RF web site doesn't even come up with the
227-1490 or spanner nut tool. It only shows up from Google.

Again the problem is it the right size. It looks too small and might not
have enough clearance for the BNC. As described it is more for the spanner
nuts on pots.

Still looking and preparing to do plan B.
