[ICOM] Roofing filter and IC-765 IF filters

Hi,I'm a new member of this reflector.
  I have some 70.115Mhz filters  pull from IC-751 and R71E, Can I contact this filter in serial as the narrow roofing filter?certainly post amplifier is needed.
 I have an IC-765, I found that it use ICOM's lower end  filters in IF (9.0115MHz and 455KHz), I want to replace these filetrs to higher end filter( pull from IC-751A), anyone have the experience?
I have noiticed  that FL96 was contact a tap in L41  in 765, but FL44A  in 751A no tap .
 Casn I use FL44A to replace the FL96 direct?
