ICOM IC-775DSP s/n 01116 from 1996.
During heavy snowstorm with a lot of static - and the IC-775DSP switched on it stopped transmitting.
Went to ICOM homepage:

Issue
My 775DSP has no TX output.

Resolution
There is a bad Q32 transistor on RF unit. Replace Q32 transistor (2SC4673D) on RF unit. Also check for leaky D37 diode (MA862) on RF unit.
It was exactly as described here but -

The transceiver was self occilating after this was done (in CW and SSB without keyer or mike and even at low power it transmitted with 200 watts output)

On the RF unit found following to be replaced as they were leaky:

D30 and C229

and then the question. - On the cathode of D30 there is +12 volt and on the physical point of the cathode D30 there is "added" ? 2 "zener-diodes" in serie to ground. Could be 6,8 volt zener diodes, however as both of them destroyed, I have no idea, and there is no ID on them. - I have a picture of them and I have made a drawing of where they are placed, but not able to find them on the wiring diagram.

Any suggestion of the value of those 2 "zener" diodes?.

Without those 2 diodes the IC-775DSP is again working fine!!

Could it be a kind of modification?. - It has been serviced only once - back in 1998 - but no indication if it had the break-through modification!

Anybody out there able to help me please. Can forward pictures and my drawing of the RF-unit.
