[ICOM] is there some sort of protector on the RX ANT input of a 756 Pro?

Jamie, there is, I believe a small lamp in series with the RX ant input. But do not just replace it, and then ignore, as you could damage your transceiver board if you do not have some external protection of your separate receive ant input. . There are several places on the internet that offer separate receive protector devices.

RX ant was working fine until tonight, when it suddenly went dead. Is there some sort of protection on the input that might have blown? Receive is still fine thru the regular antenna. If I blew something, how hard is it to change, and what can be done to repvent it from happening again?
