But Dan, does it scan, have a selection of CTCSS tones, CTCSS 
decode,  three or more levels of power output, a priority receive 
frequency, etc. ?

Actually, I'm not trying to bug you just trying to be humorous.  I 
once had an IC-2AT - very good rig and quite serviceable.  My only 
objections to it were 1] lack of CTCSS decode and 2] audio output 
wasn't sufficient for me.

I'd suggest going with the ComSpec board.  I've used them in 
commercial and ham rigs since the 80s and never had an unsolvable 
issue.  Plenty of tone output and, in the encoder/decoder models, an 
excellent high pass audio filter.
