Hi John,
Narrower roofing filters for the VHF and UHF bands would have a different
centre frequency, as the 1st IF is different for those bands. Providing such
filters, and their associated switching, would severely impact the
complexity and cost of the IC-9100.

IT is also too bad that you can't use the narrower roofing filter on 2m and
70cm as well.
