Had to replace the trimmer caps on my 751 also. Mine started the
problem on 160m, and strangely, other hams within 5 miles of me
couldn't use the band for weak singals when I was transmitting, white
noise all over the band (broadband) made the noise floor at their QTH
unuseable for DXing. Replaced the trimmer caps, and all was well.

The rig works extremely well on 10-meters CW & SSB, but when I tried it on 20-meters CW all of the signals have an "auroral" effect on them, if you know what I mean. Even the 100-KHz crystal calibtrator sounds sorta "gurgly"---but again, only on 20-meters. Ten is A-OK.
