[ICOM] re xmit problem with IC-745

     I have a problem that has just developed with my old IC-745. I went to 
check into a net last night and wasn't getting any response and noticed that 
my output power was way down on lsb. I contected it to a wattmeter and dummy 
load and noticed that it would transmit full power on usb. Also, if I pulled 
the lsb frequency from one of the memory channels, then it would transmit 
all ok. However if I stepped it thru the different mods from lsb, usb, cw, 
rtty, etc when it got back to lsb then the radio would not transmit or if so 
very little power output that appeared to be distorted. With all of this 
going on, the receiver would still work fb on lsb so it's a transmit related 
problem.
   Is this possibly related to the original memory ram board going south 
with a low battery or where should I start looking? I don't really want to 
re-invent the wheel with this.
