Try fiddling with the PROCESSOR switch.  Those are a big problem with the 74x
radios.  IIRC - they do not clean well, so replacement is likely.  Not sure if
they are available - only ICOM can answer that.  If they do have them, get more
than one and put the other away.  I had a few spares, but let them go when the
radio got sold.
