[ICOM] No power out in FM mode on an IC-706MKIIG

Phil,
Ah ha!  That seems to make sense given the symptoms.  I'll check into that.

Anyone have any pointers on where I can locate and measure the VCO voltage
or the FM modulator?

    I had this problem with my original plain 706 and it was the wrong 
voltage on the VCO for FM after the rig logged some miles. Since I never 
used the rig on FM, I never fixed it before I sold it. Apparently it was 
a common problem with the original 706.
