Fern, The 444D mike is a high impedance or low impedance mic depending on the switch setting on the bottom of the mike.I believe the 761 has a 600 Ohm audio input impedance, so the 444d if it will work should be in the low impedance setting. You definately should use a series DC isolating capacitor in the mic input line.
