[ICOM] Left handed?

My guess is that since Japanese drivers
sit on right side of the car, Icom puts
the volume and squelch controls on the
left side of mobile rigs where they will
be operated by the same hand that operates
a floor-mounted shift lever.
For me, as a "rightie", I use my left
hand for tuning a transceiver while using
right hand for writing, CW keying, or
PTT operation of microphone.
In any fixed operation, locate your XCVR
in a position on the operating table that
supports whichever enables convenience.
KISS still applies.
