E-mail him your questions. If it is an easy fix he will tell you how to do it
yourself. He really is great about it.
Once a few years ago I was two weeks away from a dog-show road trip, and my
primary IC-901 died. I E-mailed Scott and asked him if I could bribe a rapid
turn-around. He refused that, he date-stamps every arrival and works strictly
in order, but told me what joint to resolder. The road-trip was a complete
success. Even the dog won, although Scott can't get credit for that!
No interest - other than a very satisfied customer multiple times. Scott is so
good and so reasonable I have all but stopped working on anything but the
simplest problems myself.
Good luck.
