[ICOM] IC761 problem

Hi Alan,
Greetings from the hot northern hemisphere! The Logic Unit drives the digital display (via the Display Unit) as well as controlling the PLL. The IC-761 frequency display is not an "RF" frequency counter for the PLL, rather it is simply an indication of what the Logic Unit is "commanding" the PLL to do. The PLL could be completely dead, and the display could continue to display correctly. This is a bit simplified, but an accurate description of the overall scheme. It is virtually identical to the IC-751A. Hope this helps in your efforts.
