I have not extended a IC-207.

But have used straight thru cables and straight thru connectors for IC-880's
and 2820's.

Works great. BUT, you got to make sure they are STRAIGHT thru.

Subject: [ICOM] IC-207h

I want to extend my microphone so that I can have remote operation from my
dash. I made up a cat5e cable but the mic won't work. Is there something
that I am missing?? I thought that a straight through cat5e cable would work

just fine. Obviously not. Any help here would be appreciated. A 100.00 bill
or so seems too much to extend a microphone.
Thanks in advance for your help.
