[ICOM] Using the PW-1 and a IC-756 Pro II with Computer control software

I have been using my PW-1, SteppIR antenna and 3 different models of Icom
radios with LOGic8 and TRX-Manager for years without problems. I currently
have 3 Icom radios, 2 rotors, a SteppIr antenna and my PW-1 all operating
under computer control. Every once in a while the system will loose track of
what its doing but all I have to do is tell LOGic8 to reset radio and rotor
interfaces and all is OK again. It doesn't happen often enough for me to
think it's a problem.

Subject: [ICOM] Using the PW-1 and a IC-756 Pro II with Computer
controlsoftware
I am about to purchase a PW-1 and have been looking for info on the use of
Computer Software with the IC-756 Pro III and the PW-1. So far I have been
told that it is risky since the CIV port is a serial Bi directional line
that can cause the Amp to be in the wrong band.
Icom says they do not recommend the use of their CT-17 with the PW-1 nor do
they have anyone that can provide information.
Has anyone successfully used this set up or has any direct information on
this ??
Many thanks,
