[ICOM] Using the PW-1 and a IC-756 Pro II with Computer control software

Been working here for years. Need to set the radio to 9600 baud, not
automatic.

Plug radio into one CIV and "Remote" from PW1 into the second. If you take
apart the CT-17, you will see that all four CIV connections are shorted
together. No Problem.

Subject: [ICOM] Using the PW-1 and a IC-756 Pro II with Computer control
software

I am about to purchase a PW-1 and have been looking for info on the use of
Computer Software with the IC-756 Pro III and the PW-1. So far I have been
told that it is risky since the CIV port is a serial Bi directional line
that can cause the Amp to be in the wrong band.

Icom says they do not recommend the use of their CT-17 with the PW-1 nor do
they have anyone that can provide information.

Has anyone successfully used this set up or has any direct information on
this ??

Many thanks,
