[ICOM] IC-706MKII Help Requested

Bruce,

This radio does get hot/very warm. In my installation I have added a fan 
which turns on automatically when the radio
turns on.  Heat and electronics are 'mortal' enemies. How hot is your radio? 
Can you touch it and keep your finger(s)
on the hot area?. If so, it may be OK.  Possibly, there may be a short 
somewhere which causes higher current and
excessive heat.  Did you try a complete reset?
