[ICOM] IC-7200

Perhaps this is not intended to be a one size fits all radio. Every time another
band, mode, etc is added to a radio, the existing ones are compromised to some
degree.
In much less space and weight as the IC-7200 takes up, I could put a 6 meter, a
10 meter and a 144/400 dual band FM radios and be able to monitor all 4 bands
at once. In fact I could probably do it twice with still some left over. For
emcom, I suggest you use a IC -7000 or IC-706 for HF and VHF/UHF CW and SSB.
Use single band radios for FM. You will take up less space and weight than you
would with a IC-7200 and have much more flexibility and redundancy.

Well Tom,
I posted this earlier today on several other lists, but I can add my concern
that it also lacks duplex and CTCSS capabilities in addition to the FM issue
that I mentioned. For EMCOM it would seem a serious omission.
The text of what I sent earlier follows...
