[ICOM] WTB: IC-22U or IC-22S

Mike,

I'll make one more post on this subject.

If you get a 22s, please let me know and I can supply you with the mod data
if you need it. The synthesizer programming matrix expects a HIGH logic. A
CD 4011 will provide the necessary logic switching, or you can do it with
transistors.

The cd 4013 is already in the synthesizer box. They only use 1/2 of it. the
other half is not used, so the divide by 2 is there already, just needs to
be wired in.

Now if you look closely at the reference circuit on the schematic, you will
see a "10.24 mhz" crystal. However it actually has a "7.68 mhz" crystal
installed (6.4 mhz. Europe version). The synthesizer circuit is a carry over
from the 23 channel CB set from which the 22s was derived. If you also note
the 22s actually has 23 channels on the switch. The add on thumbwheel
adapter was wired into the channel 23 on the matrix board. Which made it
convenient to switch back to the original programming.

Good luck in whatever you find.

   * 73's Jim W5IFP *
